What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a range of medical conditions. Osteopaths use hands-on manual techniques to restore abnormal structure and function within the body. This treatment involves manipulation of joints, muscles, ligaments and other connective tissues in order to resolve symptoms and maximise bodily function. Osteopathy uses the body’s own healing mechanisms and enhances them. Treatment is aimed at removing the cause of a problem, not just covering up the symptoms it produces.
