What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a system of alternative healthcare medicine used all over the world. It is designed to work beyond your symptoms, holistically and individually designed to restore balance in your entire body. More and more people are looking to Acupuncture as a treatment to the health problems the complexities and stresses of our modern-day lifestyles entail. Originating in China, it is one of the eldest, most tried and tested holistic system of medicine used for its profound impact on both body and mind.
Acupuncture helps to remove blockages in the meridian channels that run throughout the body, often caused by imbalances and disharmonies. By inserting fine, sterile single-use needles into specific points in the channels, the blockages are relieved and smooth flow of qi (energy) is restored, promoting health and wellbeing. Recently, MRI scans have shown how acupuncture affects the nervous system, subsequently stimulating the body’s self-healing mechanisms.
