Your first appointment

Our initial consultations last 40-60 minutes and include a consultation, an examination and a physical treatment. These take place within our closed treatment rooms by one of our qualified chiropractors.

You will be guided through:

explanation An explanation of chiropractic
treatment Your report of findings
report A proposed personalised treatment plan

Your chiropractor will always be open to any further questions, concerns, or technique preferences you may have.

Please remember that the decision to follow the proposed treatment plan is always yours. We advise loose-fitting clothing to ensure maximum comfort, and we provide adjustment gowns if preferred.

If you intend to complete your medical history form on the day of your first appointment, please remember to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to avoid any delay.

Medical records

If you have access to any medical records, imaging, or reports, please bring these along to your first appointment. X-Ray or MRI scans are very complimentary to visual and palpatory findings, making your treatment as accurate as possible. Approximately 30% of our new patients are asked for X-ray evaluations. Should we require one, we can refer X-ray and MRI services to the London Imaging Centre in Harley Street, London.

Results

Through adjustments to skeletal misalignment, chiropractors are making subtle shifts to structures which have often been in dysfunctional positions for months or years. As a result, improvement predictions cannot be generalised and are dependent on your own individual symptom acuteness and duration. Discomfort could be reduced in as little as 20 minutes, however if your misalignment is structurally embedded, improvement is likely to be gradual over a 24-72 hour period.

A treatment plan is most commonly recommended to ensure the benefits of chiropractic adjustments are maintained. Since many dysfunctions have been in place for a sustained period of time, consistency can be required to encourage alignment. Your chiropractor will discuss their predictions with you during your appointment.

Should you have any further questions, please read our FAQs, our blog, or contact the clinics directly.
